A mix of mezcal and sparkling water, Madre Desert Water is inspired by a tradition enjoyed by ranchers and rancheros next to the Rio Grande who would enjoy mezcal with sparkling water. A collection of four different flavors, it features Mushroom, Sage & Honey; Grapefruit & Yerba Santa; Prickly Pear & Lemon; and Original. Madre Desert Water Prickly Pear & Lemon is an intriguing combination of prickly pear and its bright red skin with soft lemon citrus. Refreshing and slightly sweet, this mix seduces you right from the start with its pink hue. Low-calorie and sugar-free, it's bottled at a pleasant 10 proof.

Madre Mezcal is created at the Palenque Familia Blas, nestled in the rolling hills of the Oaxaca. Hand-made by mezcaleros in open air palanques, local water and natural yeast from the air are used in the production. Their high quality, small-batch artisanal mezcal tastes like the earth it comes from.

Madre Mezcal is distilled from agave Espadin and agave Cuishe using a family heirloom copper pot still. These agaves are roasted in an earthen pit, before being fermented with local well-water and wild mountain yeast. Madre Desert Water Prickly Pear & Lemon immediately seduces you with an enchanting pink hue. The combination of the desert plant and lemon result in earthy and slightly smoky aromas that greet on the nose, leading to a refreshing and slightly sweet palate with zesty citrus flavors.
