Buttery, soft & smoky

Drinks like somewhere between an Irish and a Scotch. A 92 proof backbone with some fruit forward notes, complimented by buttered popcorn, gingerbread and a hint of sweet soft smoke. Definitely not your average Irish whiskey. Lots to discover in this line.

Nice all around whiskey

Sweet nose of dried fruits and honey. The taste is sweet forward with baking spice and I got like a baked apple pie crust with some cinnamon and spice. Gentle warm finish. Will be a regular on my shelf.

Got this as a present this past Christmas and it’s my new favorite. It’s very soft for 92 proof, with a slow comforting burn. Best enjoyed neat, but stands up well in a cocktail, drinks and plays like a smoky bourbon and the non-chill filter aspect provides a lucious silky mouthfeel. Slainte!

Redbreast 12 Year Old Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey

Excellent choice for any palate

Redbreast was highly recommended to me by a very knowledgeable employee of a store in Indiana.
It is my favorite based on body, taste and aftertaste. Every one in my circle who has tried this whiskey positively remarks about it. It is a very unique winner.

I very nice sipping Irish whiskey at a great price! This is wonderful neat or even with a little water or an ice cube, very pleasant on the nose, and has a smooth fruity or caramel finish. If you want to try something new, try Proclamation!

This is a great sipping whiskey, just an ounce or two in a glass and you are good to go. Smooth right down to the finish, it has a nice honey vanilla flavor that stays on the palate, just darn good!

I really have never had a clinker and this one is sure to please, I think it punches above its price, has a nice nose of fruit and caramel, and then finishes with a smooth burn. A little splash of water or a single ice cube is a nice addition and helps smooth this even more. Go for it!

A Nice Sip After a Long Day

Well, I would say this is a very nice whiskey, one to stock in your bar. I was not familiar with this one so picked up a bottle, and I am very happy! I think the Sherry cask finish really rounds this one out and makes it a comfortable, cozy sip on a cold winter night. It may be a TAD overpriced compared to others that are just as tasty for less, but you should be happy if you purchase a bottle.

Oh yes! This a fantastic Irish whiskey that is worth every penny! It is one to be sipped neat, maybe add a few drops of filtered water to open it up, but even that is not really necessary, Put an ounce or two into your glass, sit back by the fire, and just relax!

This is a nice, easy-drinking Irish whiskey, that has a very pleasant nose and a smooth finish. If you are new to Irish whiskey this is a good way to get started, but others may prefer something with a bit more punch.

Awesome flavor…then BOOM!!

This whiskey is amazing on the front end. Light, caramel, smooth. Yummy. Just smelling it is great…but on the back end you will get a SERIOUS burn. 124 PROOF kicks in. Not super good for sipping (‘les you love the burn). But I still enjoy this whiskey a lot.

Smoother than expected

After some research prior to ordering, we were pleasantly surprised by the smooth finish to this beverage.
It has a powerful presence to the nose up front and in the initial taste, but the finish is quite nice and if you're not careful can provide a false sense of security if you get too comfortable with it. It does not take much to pack a punch.
The flavor does not come off as Whiskey, Vodka or Tequila, it seems to stand on it's own as a spirit, or a combination of the aforementioned three.

Will definitely purchase again. If we can locate it in stock.

Neat or on ice, it's not nice. Plasticky taste with bitter background. Goes down rough and sits there. Worst whiskey I've had in some time. Will avoid going forward.

My husband ordered this by mistake. He says it is awful. Very harsh with an unpleasant taste and aroma. Glendalough Gin is very good.

Used Glendalough in a tasting I conducted along with Red Breast 12, Green Spot and Quiet Man. All 10 people raved about Glendalough. Smooth and excellent taste. Most had not heard of Glendalough since it is not offered in Virginia ABC stores.

My wife purchased the Redbreast Lustau Edition and I find it exceptional in taste, I think that it some ways it tastes better and is more aromatic and pleasing than my much more expensive 21 years old Irish whiskey. I was skeptical at first and asked her not to purchase the Lustau. I am very happy that she made the purchase. This Irish whiskey is such an exceptional value. I highly recommend you give it a try.

I'm not kidding when I say 5 of us were all very excited to try this, being huge redbreast fans, and we all had the exact same reaction to the finish, it tastes like green onions. I didn't say a word waiting to see if anyone else noticed, but we all said the same. Stick with the excellent other redbreast choices.

There are definitely some good whiskey out there for $30 or less and this is one of them. I am not ashamed to say I love this. Smooth like butter with hints of honey and vanilla. This whiskey gets a bad rap just because of who it's associated with. Not fair.
