There are two main representatives of the American whiskey family, bourbon, and rye, but some other spirits don't fall into those two strictly regulated categories.

The nose is citrusy with plenty of peat smoke aromas. Look for vanilla, red apple, and rounded peat on the creamy palate with a balance of fruitiness and smoke. The finish is smooth and buttery with lingering peat smoke.
