Acre Largo Tequila hails from the highlands of Mexico, a small town called Jesus Maria in the Los Altos de Jalisco region. The tequila is produced at Hacienda la Esperanza where five generations of tequileros have been handcrafting the famous Mexican spirit using traditional methods. The tequila starts with the finest blue Weber agaves from the 2000-acre estate. After the agave hearts are harvested, they are cooked for 48 hours in stone ovens, roller-milled, and fermented naturally in open-air stainless steel tanks. Finally, the small-batch spirit is double-distilled in a copper still and stainless steel still. Bottled at 80 proof, the unaged Acre Largo Blanco Tequila is complex yet smooth with notes of cooked agave, citrus, pepper, and a touch of earthiness.

About Tequila
Although tequila has developed a bad reputation, there's more to the spirit than just shots on a Saturday night.
This traditional Mexican drink origins in the state of Jalisco when according to a local legend, lightning struck an agave cactus before the Nahua tribe drank its warm nectar. Behold, tequila.
Legally, tequila has to be made of 51% of Blue agave around the Jalisco region in Mexico. There are different types of tequila according to age - from the youngest representatives, blanco, reposado, and añejo, to the oldest extra añejo.
The tequila opens with bright and fruity aromas of cooked agave, citrus, and hints of pepper. The palate is smooth with agave, citrus, earthy minerality, and pepper, culminating in a smooth finish with a lingering sweetness.
