About Arbikie AK's Gin

AK's Gin is a savorous spirit crafted in honor of Alexander Kirkwood Stirling, the father of the Stirling brothers and the inspiration behind Arbikie Distillery. This Scottish field-to-bottle gin is made using wheat grown on their estate, flavored with locally-sourced honey, black pepper, and cardamom — a mesh of botanicals chosen by their Master Distiller, Kirsty Black, to reflect the very essence of AK. Distilled in their copper pot stills, the AK's Gin impresses with an earthy and spicy hint, upgraded by the subtle smoothness of fresh honey. And for every bottle sold, £1 is donated to support people with MND (Motor Neurone Disease) through the work of The Euan MacDonald Centre for MND Research and MND Scotland. Enjoy AK's Gin with fresh lime juice and ginger ale, garnished with a rosemary sprig and lime wheel. Oh, and also — this spirit won the title of World's Best Martini at the San Francisco International Spirits Awards, so you know it's good!

About Arbikie

When it comes to distilling spirits, Arbikie takes a unique approach — one that is rooted (quite literally) in the vast and bountiful land that surrounds them. The three visionary brothers named John, Iain, and David have been tending to their 2,000 acres of land on the rugged Angus coast for over 350 years. And it's this wild terroir that gives their spirits their distinct character — the red sandstone-tinted soil, tempestuous weather, and its close proximity to the sea all come together to create a one-of-a-kind environment that imprints its mark on their spirits. And the Stirling brothers are more than up to the challenge. They call themselves "craftsmen of the soil," and for a good reason — they plant, sow, tend, and harvest every inch of their land. But the dedication of the Stirlings doesn't end there. Their commitment to a "field-to-bottle" approach is a reflection of their values of creativity, provenance, and authenticity, and it is clear that this dedication shows in the premium quality of their spirits.

About Gin

According to Winston Churchill, "The gin and tonic has saved more Englishmen's lives and minds than all the doctors in the Empire," referring to the British officers using it to treat malaria in India.

Initially made for medicinal purposes, gin gets most of its flavor from the juniper berries added after the distillation process. It sure has come a long way from the Middle Ages, with the introduction of new botanicals, fruits, and spices, bringing it closer to people of all flavor varieties.
