Traigh Bhan 19 Year Old Edition Single Malt is the latest expression of Ardbeg whiskies that were inspired by a dreamy white sand Traigh Bhan beach on the Isle of Islay. But the Scottish wilderness cannot be put away: it makes its presence clear in the whisky’s deep and smoky undertones.

About Ardbeg Traigh Bhan 19 Year Old 2022 Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Unlike most Islay malts which focus on sea and salty notes in their whiskies, the whiskies of Ardbeg are heavily peated malts. They are dominated by aromas of spices, malt, or sweet tones, such as chocolate and vanilla.

And Traigh Bhan (pronounced Tri-Van) 19 Year Old 2022 Edition is their top tier, blending together beautifully lull and crescendo of its intense flavors. It has matured in Ex-Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry casks for 19 years. It is non-chill-filtered and bottled at 46.2% AB.

The whisky was inspired by the white sandy Traigh Bhan beach on the Isle of Islay. The beach also named Singing sand beach, is a heavenly oasis of calm in the midst of the Scottish wilderness, offering some much-needed escape for the weary mind and tired senses. Bottled under the magical beams of the full moon, this limited edition packs it all - the sweet spirit of the white sandy beach, the smokiness of the Scottish wilderness, and the magic of the full moon.

Let it take you away with it, pick up your bottle today!"

About Ardbeg

The southernmost of the Inner Hebridean Scottish Isles, the island of Islay (pronounced EYE-lah) is only 240 square miles and home to just over 3,000 inhabitants. Still, the island is one of just five distilling regions in Scotland whose identity is protected by law.

Ardbeg Distillery, which is situated on the southern coast of Islay, was founded in 1815 by the MacDougall family. By 1886, nearly one-third of the population of Islay worked at the distillery and today, it stands as a testament to Scottish heritage and tradition.

About Scotch

Scotch is the most popular whisky in the world and is considered the king of them all! There are five whisky regions in Scotland (six if you count the not officially recognized Islands), and each of them produces spirits with unique properties and distinct tasting notes. (The type of grain used determents the type of the scotch.)

Malt whisky is made of malted barley, and grain whisky uses other grains like corn or wheat. Most of the time, a whisky is blended from different distilleries hence the name blended scotch, but if a malt whisky is produced in a single distillery, we get something extraordinary called a single malt.

On the nose, soft herbal notes are followed by citrusy aromas. Taste buds are first hit with smoke and dark chocolate, then by lighter tones of hazelnut, menthol, fresh lemongrass, aniseed, clove, and white pepper. The finish is sharp, intense, and long.
