When it comes to the Arandas municipality in Jalisco, Mexico, it’s not just about the straw hats and woolen blankets—we’re talking top-notch tequila here! Baluarte Spirits company is the mastermind behind three Tequilas that are the talk of the town: Añejo, Blanco, and Reposado. And let’s give credit where credit is due—it’s all thanks to the agave that’s grown in just the right conditions. These agave plants live their best lives with a warm day and cold night climate and optimal acidity. When it comes to cooking them up, Baluarte Spirits knows what’s up—using a brick oven to give their Tequila that distinct herbal flavor and a sweetness that’ll have you reaching for another round. Baluarte Blanco Tequila may be younger than Reposado or Añejo, but that doesn’t make it any less tasty. This silvery tequila was triple distilled in copper-column stills, making for a truly refined and noble spirit. It clocks in at 40% ABV and showcases a great body with silver shades and hints of vanilla, caramel, and herbs, followed by the taste of freshly cut Tequilana Weber agave. About Tequila

Although tequila has developed a bad reputation, there's more to the spirit than just shots on a Saturday night.

This traditional Mexican drink origins in the state of Jalisco when according to a local legend, lightning struck an agave cactus before the Nahua tribe drank its warm nectar. Behold, tequila.

Legally, tequila has to be made of 51% of Blue agave around the Jalisco region in Mexico. There are different types of tequila according to age - from the youngest representatives, blanco, reposado, and añejo, to the oldest extra añejo.

Tasting Notes

Fresh and fragrant agave takes over the nose, followed by caramel, vanilla, and oaky flavors, alongside fruity touches of pineapple and grapefruit. The palate is balanced and sweet, culminating in a pleasantly lingering yet soft finish.
