About Broker's

Broker’s Gin was founded by two brothers Martin and Andy Dawson in 1998. Batch distilled with traditional botanicals in traditional copper pot stills at a 200-year-old distillery near Birmingham, Broker’s Gin is a true London Dry Gin.

After trying out several newer recipes, the brothers settled on a 200-year-old recipe that provided the greatest balance of fresh botanicals, spicy juniper and sweet ripe citrus fruit. The process begins with a quadruple-distilled spirit, made from English wheat, that is then redistilled with ten traditional botanicals, which are steeped for 24 hours in the pure grain spirit. The botanicals used are sourced from all over the world with juniper berries and coriander seed coming from Bulgaria, orris root and liquorice from Italy, Madagascan cinnamon, lemon and orange peels from Spain and angelica root from Poland. Broker’s Gin doesn’t contain any secret ingredients or gimmicks, delivering a true, old-fashioned style of London Dry Gin. Even the bowler hat atop the bottle lets you know straight away this is a nod to England's rich history of traditional gin making.

About Gin

According to Winston Churchill, "The gin and tonic has saved more Englishmen's lives and minds than all the doctors in the Empire," referring to the British officers using it to treat malaria in India.

Initially made for medicinal purposes, gin gets most of its flavor from the juniper berries added after the distillation process. It sure has come a long way from the Middle Ages, with the introduction of new botanicals, fruits, and spices, bringing it closer to people of all flavor varieties.
