Cacique Guaro is produced by Fábrica Nacional de Licores. Cacique Guaro is a very pure sugar cane liquor, the most popular distilled spirit in Costa Rica. Also known as "Costa Rica liqueur,” the neutral spirit is generally used for mixing.
Fanal (Fábrica Nacional de Licores) produces two guaro products known as Guaro Cacique (with a red label) and Cacique Superior (with black label). The alcohol is distilled through columns, whose primary function is to purify vinasse. After being purified, the end product is then stored.

About Rum
Rum history allegedly started in the Carribiens in the 17th century when they started to ferment and distill molasses, a byproduct of sugar production. Most of the Rum is aged in oak or ex-wine casks, giving its color and flavor.
We distinguish between 4 different Rum categories, where white or unaged rum is mainly used in cocktails, while dark, spiced, and añejo (aged) rum are mostly enjoyed neat.
