About Casa Azul Organic Añejo Tequila

Casa Azul Organic Añejo Tequila is a true taste trip to Jalisco, Mexico. This spirit is lovingly crafted by the Montes family, third-generation agave farmers turned distillers. They've turned their passion into a single estate, farm-to-bottle tequila that's USDA organic! What sets it apart? It's all in the process. The fully matured agaves, grown on a single estate near the distillery, are baked in a stone oven for 2-3 days. Then, they use roller mill extraction and natural fermentation with wild yeast for 7-12 days. Talk about dedication! This precious liquid is distilled twice in pot stills and aged 12-13 months in American oak barrels. The result? An añejo tequila boasting deep, complex baked agave and dark chocolate notes with hints of cracked pepper and toasted oak. A lush finish lingers long after that last sip.
