About Hamilton 87 White Stache Rum

The "Minister of Rum", also known as Ed Hamilton, is a true scholar and ambassador of the spirit. His brand is built on quality, accessibility, and transparency. During his sailing days in the West Indies, Hamilton took a liking to the clean and fresh white rums of the region. Hamilton White Stache Rum consists of Trinidad aged rum, along with sugarcane and molasses distillates from Guyana and Santo Domingo. The blend is then brought to 87 proof over five days with filtered well water at the Five & 20 Distillery in Westfield, NY. Great for cocktails that call for premium white rum, no flavors or sugars were added to the spirit.

About Rum

Rum history allegedly started in the Carribiens in the 17th century when they started to ferment and distill molasses, a byproduct of sugar production. Most of the Rum is aged in oak or ex-wine casks, giving its color and flavor.

We distinguish between 4 different Rum categories, where white or unaged rum is mainly used in cocktails, while dark, spiced, and añejo (aged) rum are mostly enjoyed neat.
