Bottled 'straight from the cask' without the addition of water, this robust and intense single malt Scotch whisky showcases the full depth of its flavors, meticulously crafted for those who appreciate a bold and unfiltered experience.
Matured predominantly in first-fill, sherry-seasoned European oak casks, including Pedro Ximénez casks, as well as refill casks, ex-bourbon casks, and a small selection of first-fill, sherry-seasoned American oak casks, each chosen by the Master Whisky Maker, Gordon Motion. The result is a whisky that captures the essence of Highland Park's signature style while delivering an even greater depth at the finish.
Highland Park Cask Strength No. 5 boasts a flavor profile that is both complex and satisfying. On the nose, you'll find dried cloves, fresh oregano, and crushed pine needles, leading into rich notes of sun-dried fruits such as prunes, dates, and sultanas. The palate is further enhanced by hints of liquorice, winter spices, cocoa nibs, and a delicate touch of light oak wood smoke.
