About J.P. Wiser's Triple Barrel Rye Blended Canadian Whisky

When we think of Canadian whisky, we think of J.P. Wiser. Not only because the man himself was the first one to put “Canadian Whisky” on a label of his spirit in 1893, introducing the world to a new style of whiskies, but because the distillery’s spirits are still one of the finest Canadian whiskies out there - Triple Barrel Rye is a great example of that. This unique blend has a rye-forward mashbill (although the exact percentage of rye in the blend isn’t specified by the distillery) and combines three different distillates: a distillate from used Canadian whisky, first-fill bourbon, and virgin oak casks. The whisky has a good and well-balanced flavor that can very well stand on its own, but it’s best in some simple mixes, such as with a splash of lemon and some Earl gray tea. It is bottled at a standard ABV of 43%.

Don’t hesitate to grab a bottle of this fine Canadian whisky today!

About J.P. Wiser's

In the 19th century, John Philip Wiser emigrated from New York to Ontario, Canada. His maternal grandparents had purchased a distillery in Ontario and in 1857, Wiser became the distillery's manager. Within five years, Wiser had purchased the distillery from his grandparents and eventually, transformed it into of the largest and most prestigious distilleries in the country. Today, Wiser's Whisky continues to be handmade using the same traditional methods envisioned by J.P Wiser over a century ago.

On the nose, aromas of oak prevail, with subtle hints of vanilla, maple, rye, and leather. The flavors are firm and robust, leading with notes of toffee, vanilla, brown sugar, baking spice, rye, cedar, wood spice, and chocolate. The finish is smooth and long-lasting.
