About Jim Beam Bourbon Whiskey (1.75L)

Jim Beam Bourbon Whiskey represents the apex of Kentucky's bourbon offerings and has played a pivotal role in the category's evolution. What sets this bourbon apart is its unwavering commitment to using only natural ingredients, without artificial additives or coloring, resulting in a smooth and silky flavor. Artfully crafted from a blend of the finest corn, rye, and barley, it boasts a rich amber hue and a multidimensional taste that interplays delightful notes of vanilla, oak, and spice. But it's not just the exceptional taste that makes Jim Beam Bourbon Whiskey so special — it's legacy of craftsmanship that has been passed down through seven generations of the Beam family. This legacy is embodied in each bottle, with the bourbon distilled with a strong sense of family values and aged for twice the legal requirement. Aged for four years in American white oak barrels, the liquid acquires complexity and richness, making it perfect for enjoying neat or on the rocks — but it also serves as an excellent base for cocktails and long drinks.

About Jim Beam

Following the end of the American Revolutionary War, Johannes Reginald Beam emigrated from Germany to the United States, and eventually settled in Kentucky County. At the time, Kentucky County was still considered part of Virginia, and was overseen by a military governor named John J. Bowman. In order to encourage westward expansion, Virginia issued pioneers who agreed to settle in Kentucky County "corn writs," which granted the pioneers 60 acres of land if they agreed to settle in Kentucky and start farming corn.

After settling in Kentucky, Beam began harvesting corn and set forth a family tradition by distilling the excess grains he harvested into whiskey. Since then, seven generations of the Beam family have been involved in whiskey production for the eponymous company (the company is actually named after James Beam, who rescued it following Prohibition). Today, Fred Noe — a seventh generation master distiller and the great grandson of Colonel James B. Beam — shepherds his family legacy forward.

The nose is greeted with the gentle essence of toasted oak and hints of caramel, cedar, cinnamon, and candied apple. The palate opens with a burst of spice, followed by vanilla, almond, dark chocolate, black tea, honey, and light baking spices. The medium-length finish is marked by a bold black pepper flavor, which fades into a smoky char.
