Established in Ukraine in 1998 as a spirit distribution company first, the Khortytsa Distillery soon cemented itself as a leading manufacturer for alcoholic beverages. Today, Khortytsa is part of the Global Spirits holding company, one of the largest world leaders in alcohol production.
About Khortytsa
Founded in 2003 in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine, Khortytsa Distillery produces Khortytsa Vodka – one of the world's leading vodka brands, marketed and distributed by Global Spirits. Khortytsa Distillery was among the world's best distilleries at the 2014 International Spirits Competition (NYISC) and it was in the top 10 world’s leading vodka producers on the World Millionares Club list. Their flagship vodka, Khortytsa Platinum, was awarded Gold at the 2017 New York and LA International Spirits Competitions. The distillery is named after Khortytsa Island, which is known as "the heart of Ukraine". Khortytsa Distillery uses the best high-tech equipment, including a local organic filter that contains schungite, a unique natural mineral, which can get as close as possible to the natural structure of water.
Historians are not clear on the exact origin of vodka since different sources link its beginning to both Russia and Poland. But one thing is clear: this somewhat simple spirit, first used as a medicinal concoction, has become one of the most versatile drinks in the world.
It can be distilled from any type of grains, potatoes, or even grapes worldwide. Due to its simplicity, this unaged spirit's main flavor factor is the quality of water and the ingredients used in the distillation process.
Primarily used in cocktails, vodka can also stand its ground when enjoyed neat.
