Milam & Greene Very Small Batch Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a fine, high-end whiskey crafted with meticulous attention to detail. Released only bi-annually due to its complex production process, this bourbon is a blend of Kentucky and Tennessee barrels, each chosen for their unique flavor profiles. The vatting process takes place in 1,000-gallon tanks nestled in the distillery's compact room. The bourbon is then perfected with charred French Oak staves that have housed tawny port wine and Milam & Greene’s award-winning rye whiskey. These staves are sun-cooked in the Texan heat and steeped in the vats for two weeks, giving the bourbon an exquisite balance of flavors. You can expect sweet and 'jammy' dark fruits and French toast aromas, fruit-forward sweetness on the palate, and a long, lingering biscuit finish. The exquisite bourbon is bottled at 108 proof.

About Milam & Greene

Marsha Milam is an entrepreneur that was captivated by the process of creating whiskey when she visited a Kentucky warehouse. "All that quiet, the beauty, and the irreverence of whiskey spoke to me. It sits in that barrel and does exactly what it wants to do. You can’t rush it," she says. When she founded the award-winning independent whiskey range, she partnered with veteran Master Blender Heather Greene, Master Distiller Marlene Holmes, and Master Brewer Jordan Osborne. The team was ready to kickstart their distilling operation in the Texas Hill Country.

With 60 years of combined experience, the team employs a proprietary yeast strain to achieve the perfect aromas. They work with bot a 300-gallon copper-pot still in the Texas Hill Country, as well as column stills in Bardstown, Kentucky. Some of the whiskeys are sourced, some are distilled on-site. They age their spirits in Blanco, benefitting from the unique Texas terroir. All of their whiskeys are bottled and labeled by hand.
