Founded in 1936, the Willett Distillery is a private and family-owned operation with a rich history of producing quality whiskey. Old Bardstown 90 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon was released in 2016 together with a Bottled in Bond Bourbon. It's distilled at the Willett distillery from a mash bill of 72% corn, 13% rye, and 15% malted barley. Then, the whiskey spends at least 4 years in new charred American oak casks before being bottled at 90 proof. The whiskey features a classic bourbon taste profile with notes of caramel, oak, vanilla, and floral undertones. The labels are reproductions of original labels from the time when Thompson Willett was president.

About Old Bardstown

Born in 1952, Old Bardstown was an American Thoroughbred racehorse named after the city of Bardstown, Kentucky. Bred and raced by Calumet Farms, the horse twice won Florida's Tropical Handicap at the Tropical Park Race Track as well as the Widener Handicap at the Hialeah Park Race Track. In 31 career starts, Bardstown had 18 first place finishes, 7 second place finishes and 1 third place finish. By the time he retired at the age of 8, Old Bardstown was one of the top racing horses of his time.
