Pa’lante Reposado Rum is a masterful blend of sugarcane and molasses distillates, crafted in Chiapas, Mexico, through copper pot and column stills with closed, controlled fermentations. This reposado expression incorporates a higher proportion of cane juice distillate than the blanco, resulting in a vibrant and layered flavor profile. Rested for six months in American oak and bottled at 90 proof, it delivers a natural complexity with no added sugar or additives. Expect a pleasant vegetal funk complemented by tropical notes of pineapple and banana, with moderate heat balanced by the mellowing influence of oak.
About Rum
Rum history allegedly started in the Carribiens in the 17th century when they started to ferment and distill molasses, a byproduct of sugar production. Most of the Rum is aged in oak or ex-wine casks, giving its color and flavor.
We distinguish between 4 different Rum categories, where white or unaged rum is mainly used in cocktails, while dark, spiced, and añejo (aged) rum are mostly enjoyed neat.
The nose introduces a pleasant vegetal funk with hints of tropical pineapple and ripe banana. The palate showcases a layered balance of fruity sweetness and moderate heat, enriched by six months of oak aging. The finish is smooth yet bold, with lingering warmth and subtle woodiness.
