About Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2012 Luminous Brut Champagne
Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Brut Champagne Vintage 2012 Luminous is an elegant, delicate, and harmonious expression that's crafted with 50% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir, and 5% Pinot Meunier grape varieties. Aged 6 years, it has a dosage of 8g per liter. 2012 was a favorable year for the Champagne region with a wet spring, late blooming, and a hot and dry summer making for excellent conditions. The bottle shape takes its cues from Perrier-Jouët's first prestige bottling that was inspired by the historic Blason de France, while the iconic floral patterns are the work of Art Nouveau master Emile Gallé, who painted the Japanese white anemones for the House in 1902.

About Champagne
Champagne has been associated with royalties since the 17th century, still maintaining its glorious reputation.
The French take Champagne seriously, so coming from the Champagne region of France isn't the only requirement that keeps this drink from being "just sparkling wine." The rules of the appellation require specific vineyard practices, particular types of grapes, specific pressing methods, and secondary fermentation of wine.
The silvery gold cuveé opens with floral, fruity, buttery brioche, and vanilla aromas on the nose. The palate is light, creamy, floral, and fresh with linden blossom, pear, mandarin, and grapefruit zest, leading to a rich and lingering finish.
