Rare Stash Bourbon, a liquid manifestation of the ""Live Rare, Be Rare"" ethos, is born from carefully selected exceptional stashes with a lot of character that have been patiently waiting for their moment to shine in a glass. And the Rare Stash Bourbon #2 is a prime example of this artful craftsmanship, made from a small lot of 33 barrels containing two different straight bourbons. It is a perfectly balanced see-saw, with an 8.5-year-old aged in char#4 white oak barrels on one side and a 7.5-year-old aged in char#3 white oak barrels on the other, both sharing the same 75/21/4 mash bill. The perfect blend of environmental conditions and age characteristics have conspired to create a distinctive and well-balanced aroma and taste of this bourbon, which boasts a brilliant golden toasted brown color and rich aroma of vanilla, oak, and caramel. It is a true work of art, and the esteemed judges at Bonfort's Top 100 Spirits agree, crowning it American Whisky of the Year 2022.
