Redemption Straight Bourbon Whiskey is marketed by Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits, which was founded by Bill Deutsch in 1981 as an importer of fine wines. Over the past four decades, this family-owned business has expanded and entered the spirits market, building an impressive portfolio of internationally renowned, award-winning brands. By staying on top of trends and responding to their customers’ needs, the business that started as a small, two-people office focusing on French wines, has grown into one of the country’s leading wine and spirits companies with well over 200 employees. In 2015, the company acquired Redemption whiskey, created by industry veterans Dave Schmier and Michael Kanbar of Bardstown Barrel Selections with the purpose of bringing Rye whiskey back to its rightful place. Redemption whiskey is sourced in the river town of Lawrenceburg, Indiana at the Whisky Advocate’s 2015 Distiller of the Year, MGP Distillery, which was founded in 1847. The distillery, which has changed a few hands and names since its inception, has grown into a leading supplier of premium distilled spirits that serves a plethora of craft distillers and global beverage brands.

Redemption’s award-winning whiskey is carefully hand-crafted in small batches, and each bottle is hand numbered to reflect the batch and bottle, a sign of the attention to detail put into every step of making the final product.

Redemption Straight Bourbon is a shift from the brand’s tradition of rye whiskey and high-rye bourbon. This expression is made from a mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley, and aged for 2.5 years on average in new, charred American oak barrels. The whiskey is carefully crafted to highlight the classic flavors of the highest quality bourbons. It is bottled at 84 proof for a lighter experience, great on the rocks or in mixed drinks.
