About Ron Centenario Fundacion 20 Reserva Especial

A sugar cane-based rum made using the Solera method, Centenario Fundacion 20 Reserva Especial is made with rums of ages from 6 to 20 years that are matured in American white oak barrels Solera style. Elegant and soft, the long years spent in a humid tropical climate are responsible for the distinct amber color, reminiscent of sun-kissed rubies, that’s typical for premium rum.

Bottled at 80 proof, this premium rum offers a soft and harmonious bouquet of vanilla, ripe banana, caramel, pecan, and brandy notes. The palate is soft and slightly sweet with flavors of vanilla, custard, maple, tobacco, and red fruits. The finish is long with a spiced toffee aftertaste.

Centenario Fundacion 20 Reserva Especial was awarded Bronze at the 2016 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

About Ron Centenario

The story of Centenario International begins over 50 years ago. Starting out as a Costa Rican distiller of premium rum, their uncompromising commitment to quality made them what they are today – one of the leading spirit producers and distributors in the world. About Rum

Rum history allegedly started in the Carribiens in the 17th century when they started to ferment and distill molasses, a byproduct of sugar production. Most of the Rum is aged in oak or ex-wine casks, giving its color and flavor.

We distinguish between 4 different Rum categories, where white or unaged rum is mainly used in cocktails, while dark, spiced, and añejo (aged) rum are mostly enjoyed neat.
