About Royal Salute The Treasured Blend 25 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky
The Royal Salute Treasured Blend 25 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky is an exquisite collection of rare whiskies matured for a quarter-century in high-quality oak casks. This meticulous aging process produces a whisky that is both rich and powerful, with an exceptionally long finish. Crafted by master blender Sandy Hyslop, who boasts over 40 years of experience, each bottle embodies the legacy of the British Crown Jewels. The Treasured Blend undergoes an additional four years in oak, intensifying its complex and robust flavors. Delight in decadent sweetness complemented by hints of spice. On the nose, you'll find sweet stewed fruit, blueberry jam, and marzipan. The palate offers prunes, treacle toffee, and dark chocolate, rounded off with caramelized figs. About Scotch
Scotch is the most popular whisky in the world and is considered the king of them all! There are five whisky regions in Scotland (six if you count the not officially recognized Islands), and each of them produces spirits with unique properties and distinct tasting notes. (The type of grain used determents the type of the scotch.)
Malt whisky is made of malted barley, and grain whisky uses other grains like corn or wheat. Most of the time, a whisky is blended from different distilleries hence the name blended scotch, but if a malt whisky is produced in a single distillery, we get something extraordinary called a single malt.
The nose is rich and sweet with stewed fruit, berry jam, licorice, cinnamon, and marzipan. Look for prune, toffee, dark chocolate, and caramelized figs on the sweet palate that leads to a long finish with a hint of spice.
