Canadian-born founder and entrepreneur Bob Huitema loves cocktails but hates hangovers. He wanted to create fun social drinks without the loss of sleep or sanity the next day. With considerable experience working in the food and beverage industry, he took the plunge in 2017 and created Sobrii 0-Gin, Canada’s premiere distilled alcohol-free gin. Stratford craft distillery in Ontario is where Sobrii 0-Gin is distilled in small batches using a custom blend of botanicals, including coriander, juniper berries, allspice, and locally grown Ginseng. This alcohol-free alternative can be used in any gin-based cocktail and gives that satisfactory kick to all your favorite mixed beverages! Fun fact: Bob even appeared on Dragons Den and made quite the pitch with his impressive Sobrii collection.
You are met with pine, juniper, and Canadian Ginseng aromas on the nose. The palate brings bright acidity, herbal bitterness, and a slight kick from the coriander, rounded off with star anise and allspice. The finish lingers and could be compared to the mouthfeel of its alcoholic rivals.
