About Tita Dona Celia Reposado Tequila

Tita Dona Celia Tequila takes its inspiration from the skeletal La Calavera Catrina, one of the most prominent images of Death in Mexico and an integral part of the imagery of the Day of the Dead celebrations. This is reflected in the bottles that Dona Celia comes in, shaped like an elegant skeletal doll. Crafted at Casa Maestri in Jalisco, Mexico, the Reposado starts with 100% blue Weber agaves that are harvested at peak maturity. The hearts are cooked and fermented slowly. Then, the liquid is double-distilled using copper-pot stills. The Reposado (rested) expression then matures for at least 6 months in ex-bourbon American oak casks, imparting the spirit with oaky, caramel, cinnamon, vanilla, and cocoa notes. The tequila is bottled at 80 proof.
